This week has been great.  Ryan Braun's suspension is overturned, the PS Vita was released, and I nabbed an item I never thought I could obtain.

Milwaukee Egyptian Theater Artifact

The details of today's experience are here:

Good for you!

My two big theaters were The Lincoln, and The Modjeska.

I`d love to have a piece of The Lincoln. Shocked

Thanks for checking it out Smiley

I know the Modjeska...been in there a number of times (though it's been awhile). I know OF the Lincoln, but just what I've read....stopped being a theater LONG before my time.

Congratulations! I remember the Egyptian and my older brothers took my kid brother and me there a few times.

My best 'young kid' memory of theaters is the Riverside where Edgar Bergen performed in the early 40's. And the Ritz(?) on Villard where my brother and I watched 'Snakepit'. What a movie for two youngsters. I think I was depressed for a week.

Anyway-glad you topped your week off with your acquisition.

Color me jealous.  Even finding PICTURES of the Egyptian is damn near impossible :\

The Ritz aka The Villa closed in 1986, it was reopened for just a bit in 1990-95.  Never had the pleasure of visiting this one.

Has anyone ever gone to the Garfield on MLK (3rd) just south of Center?
