Woolworths dime store. I worked at the lunch counter at the one in West Allis for a short while.  Then anyone remember across from the West Allis Woolworths on 71st and Greenfield was Butter Buns. That was a diner that had real good butter burgers.  Then always remember Gimbles store.  Eating at the Tasty Town Cafe.  They had good chicken pot pies.  Then it was Goldmans on Mitchell St.  All them lamps up on the balcony.  The food was good and cheap at the lunch counter.    Then the Walgreens on 27th and National had their diner as well as the one at Southgate Mall.   I remember in West Allis.  The West Allis Inn Hotel.  I worked there a short while.  All sorts of famous people come through there to stay or maybe just to eat.  If I remember right. Bob Hope used one of the banquet rooms to rehearse for a show he did at State Fair.  They then called it the Bob Hope room.  I remember when 70th-76St. on Greenfield West Allis. That was the main shopping strip in town.  Well the main part of town.  Then the Paradise Theater West Allis.  That was the first theater I got to go see a show.  I was 12yrs old. My father gave us 1$ each. It was enough to get in the show and box of popcorn.  I also remember my father taking us to Dandelion Park the amusement park in Muskego.  Then the 24 Outdoor drive in movie.  So many places I remember growing up. That I miss.
