Title: american soda water on loomis rd. Post by: paperboy on June 10, 2015, 01:18:42 PM I remember going to American soda water on 40 something and loomis rd. Grabbing a wooden crate and filling with dozens of flavors. Most of the bottles were recycled and well worn. You got a deposit on the empty bottles when you returned them. The cream soda was great. lime too. Family run operation with kids and all working. Clattering empty bottles sailed along on long multi roller conveyor tracks in all directions. The place was always buzzing with activity. They also carried a lot of beers and liquor. was a cool place.

They had a good product at a good price. :) I guess that doesn`t seem to mean much in today`s world. ::) I loved going there as kid, and as a adult. A neighbor of mine made a planter out of one of their old wooden cases. But, like the company, it didn`t last forever. :'( |
