My family shopped there in the 1950s, but not sure how long they lasted. Behind the building in the photo was the Sears auto center, where they sold tires, oil and Allstate motor scooters, etc. We stopped going there when the neighborhood changed, due to shifting demographics.

This indeed was a busy Sears Department store. A unique feature in the 50's was a station on the third floor overlooking the parking lot.
